MISSION
To promote the interest of the hospitality industry in Cebu and the Philippines
To undertake projects that will upgrade and enhance professionalism in the hospitality industry
To promote unity and cooperation among those in the industry and other instrumentalities engaged in tourism, in order to protect the interest and welfare of the industry
To encourage high ethical standards in our business, including fair and honest competition among members
To act as the official single voice for and in behalf of the members in matters of government regulatory policies/ laws/ rules affecting the industry
To exercise dynamic leadership in promoting goodwill, undertaking, fellowship with association in the hospitality industry whether regional, national and international
And without limitation of any of the foregoing purposes and objectives, to do and perform any and all acts and things permitted by the laws of the Philippines to be done and performed by a corporation of similar nature in particular
WHAT DO WE DO
1. We promote professionalism in the hospitality industry.
2. We serve as center for learning and upgrading the industry's services
- We provide programs for members (seminars/workshops/exhibits/other opportunities)
- We initiate events that will highlight the services and enhance training, such as
- Cebu Goes Culinary - Food and Beverage Event highlighting competitions, exhibitions and demonstrations of the different chefs of the Visayas and Mindanao areas.
- Annual Food Festival - Project of HRRAC wherein Member Properties of HRRAC would prepare and present "Five Star Cuisine at No Star Prices".
3. We serve as center for marketing and promoting Cebu as a tourism destination.
- We participate and support marketing blitzes/marketing programs that are aimed in promoting Cebu
- We design programs that will enhance the saleability of Cebu
- We promote programs that will protect the industry's concerns
4. We provide equal opportunity for smaller properties to be present in the Airport through the Airport Counter
5. We voice the concerns of the members to legislative bodies(lobby)
6. We establish strategic alliances with the government, industry partners and suppliers
7. We coordinate with members on all industry concerns
Membership (78 members) with the following breakdown:
Hotel Division – 23
Members include duly licensed hotels, inns, apartelles and pension houses.
Resort Division – 23
Members include duly licensed resorts, membership clubs, resort hotels and beach resorts
Restaurant Division – 7
Members include duly licensed restaurants, pubs, cafes, bistros, music lounges, and similar establishments that provide hospitality services
Allied (Members) Division – 14
Members include all enterprises, which provide goods or services to hotels, resorts, or restaurants, in the course of normal operations
Academe Division – 11
Members include universities, colleges, schools offering hotel and restaurant management or administration courses, cooking and other tourism-oriented courses, associations or groups of persons or parties whose purpose or interests are closely related to the hospitality or tourism industry
Honorary Members
Persons who are invited by the Association to become such because of exceptional and outstanding contributions to the development and growth of the hospitality or tourism industries.
Life Members
Persons who have rendered long years of outstanding service to the association as an officer.
